The Problem: The Lexus GX hadn’t changed much in a while, but it had a new center console and a larger touchscreen, so they needed to promote it—using mostly existing footage—from three different spots.


The Solution: Rather than create another running-footage spot with wall-to-wall VO, we tried something completely different: humor. Featuring a cast of comedic actors (and some unexpected guests), we created a commercial that rivaled those that came before it (one of them being mine). I’ve posted a special unaired version of the spot below that we only shared on social channels for Halloween. Can you spot the Easter egg?
